Free & open source · for Mac

Your notch has a pet.

Gobbl moves a tiny creature into your MacBook's notch. It eats the files you drop, keeps your clipboard, dances to your music, and cheers when your AI agent finishes.

macOS 14+ · works on Macs without a notch too · near-zero CPU at rest
01 · Shelf

Drop it on the notch. Gob eats it.

Park files in the notch and drag them out anywhere. Right-click to convert, compress, remove a background, copy the text, or zip. All on your Mac.

02 · Clipboard

Everything you copied, one shortcut away.

⇧⌘Space opens a searchable history with pins. Password-manager copies are never saved.

03 · Music

Now playing, from any app.

Spotify, Music, YouTube in Chrome: artwork, controls, synced lyrics and output switching. Gob dances along.

04 · AI agents

Approve Claude without leaving what you're doing.

Gob works along with Claude Code and Codex, and Allow / Deny prompts appear right in the notch.

05 · Tools

The little things, one click each.

Focus timer, keep-awake, mic mute, color picker, copy text from anywhere on screen, and volume & brightness in the notch.

For people who ship with AI

It cheers when your
agent finishes.

Connect Claude Code or Codex in one click. Gob gets to work when you send a prompt, waves when the agent needs you, and throws a tiny party when it's done.

Waiting for a prompt…
Make it yours

Every Gobbl ships different.

A late-70s classic, a mid-80s compact or a late-90s candy computer, each with a face on its screen and a slot it eats your files through. It arrives in a box: eight colours, and 1 in 100 ship as a sparkly limited edition. 11 hats to earn. Try typing: it'll type along.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Gobbl is MIT-licensed and open source, by Xeve. No account, no subscription, no ads.

When can I download it?

The first signed, notarized release is coming very soon. Star the repo to get notified, or build it yourself from the source today.

Does it drain my battery?

No. At rest Gobbl sits around 0% CPU: Gob only redraws to blink, and nothing polls in the background except a cheap clipboard check.

My Mac doesn't have a notch.

Gobbl shows a small pill at the top of the screen instead, on any display you like.

How does the Claude Code link work?

Clicking Connect adds a small hook to Claude Code's settings (backed up first). Events go to Gobbl over a private socket on your Mac. If Gobbl isn't running or you don't answer a prompt within 30 seconds, Claude simply asks in the terminal as usual.
